About You
We need to collect the information in the form below in order to:
- Confirm you are eligible to enter the Award.
- Contact you to update you on the progress of your entry.
- Contact your parent/guardian/teacher if anything included in your entry means we are concerned about your safety or well-being.
You must either live or attend school/college/a youth group in London, in order to be eligible for the Young Playwrights Award. We may also contact your school if anything in your entry means we are concerned about your wellbeing.

Your play may be written by up to three writers, as long as you are all aged 13-18 and living or attending school or a youth group in London, at the time of the competition deadline (2nd May 2025)
Your Play
Your play can be 1,000 – 5,000 words. Please submit your entry as a PDF or Word Document and try not to include your own name in the document OR the file name.
Accepted file types: pdf, doc, docx, Max. file size: 10 MB.
Safeguarding
Please let us know the contact details of a parent/guardian/teacher, who will be copied into your email feedback and communication. We may also contact them directly if anything included in your entry means we are concerned about your safety and wellbeing. If you are entering as a group, please provide one contact. We will require parental permission for the Royal Court to stage and publish your play, if it is selected as a winner.
